Being home (Memphis) for the past four years, has not been easy for me. I lived in Atlanta and had plans to move to New York.
To my surprise, God had other plans.
I was so disappointed when I finally realized my move to New York was not happening. I can admit that. I was disappointed in myself, and I really did not want to stay in Memphis *insert judgement from fellow Memphians here*…but I will elaborate on that story in another post.
Anywho, I am here, and I have decided to get over it and grow where I am planted.
My desire is to be everything God has created me to be no matter where He has placed me. I believe it is an insult to God to be lazy with my dreams and my gifts just because things did not go where I would have liked. He created me for a purpose, and my blog is just a piece of that puzzle. Over the past four years, I have experienced things that I plan to share with my readers, in hopes that it will inspire, encourage, and empower you to be all that God has designed you to be, through faith and fashion– even if it is painful. Trust me, it will be.
Hopefully, you read something and decide not to give up. I write, not only for you but for me. This is my release– my secret place. Enjoy!

God plants us where He wants us. We may not understand it now, but we will. I NEVER had the intent to move back to my hometown in Alabama. However, God has stretched me in so many ways here. God got us!
