Dots & Dancing in Dallas

Have you ever had to have a conversation with yourself and reminded yourself that is was time for a break? The older I get, the more intentional I am about self-checks. I ask myself questions: How are you feeling (mentally, physically, emotionally, etc.)? What’s the root of why you feel that way? Do you have the power to change it? Are you overexerting yourself? You get the point.

First quarter was tough for me. Someone close to me passed away suddenly. My responsibilities at work increased. I experienced anxiety for the first time. Yours truly was in need of a change of atmosphere. So I decided to take a much needed road trip to Dallas, Texas, and honey I had an amazing time!

It was refreshing being able to unplug from work and social media to spend time with my family and be present in the moment. I toured the city, ate good food, enjoyed plenty of laughter and a little bit of shopping! During my down time, I relaxed or took pictures. And of course, I provided the details on this cute and comfy outfit below. But before you click the links, I encourage you to do a self-check as well. Self-care is the best care. I love y’all!
